- Short Description:  Second Annual Calculus Bee
The Calculus Bee is a two-part competition testing students' skills in calculus. The first part is a 10 question written exam over material from first semester calculus. After the exams are graded, the students are ranked according to their scores. In the case of a tie, the amount of time needed to complete the exam is the tiebreaker. After the students are ranked, they compete in a head-to-head competition. The head-to-head competition consists of short answer calculus questions. The prizes for first, second, and third place are $150, $100, and $50 Barnes & Noble gift certificates respectively. This event is held in celebration of April being Mathematics Awareness Month.
