- Short Description:  The Math Explorer's Club is a program designed for high school students to learn about different areas of mathematics not normally encountered in high school in a fun and stimulating environment.
Three 6-8 week modules on graph theory, number theory and geometry will be run from January-May 2004 and are taught by Cornell faculty and graduate students. The Math Explorer's Club meets weekly at a local high school after school and each session focuses on one aspect or game in the areas above. However, enjoyment of the activities is not just limited to local students. The Math Explorer's Club website describes each activity and game and in some cases has links that allows one to play the game over the internet! Somes games played include Sprouts, Instant Insanity, Slither, Chomp, 3D Tic-Tac-Toe, Nim, and more!
