April 12 - Baylor Lecture Series in Mathematics "Computers and Mathematics: Problems and Prospects" by Dr. Ronald Graham, University of California, San Diego. April 13 - Baylor Lecture Series in Mathematics "The Combinatorics of Solving Linear Equations" by Dr. Ronald Graham, University of California, San Diego. April 18 - Mathematics Movie Event "Flatland: the Movie", presented by Director and Animator Dano Johnson and Producer Seth Caplan. April 25 - Special Baylor Event "All in the Family: Creativity Across the Disciplines Through Three Brothers, with Ted Chihara (math, Purdue), Charles Chihara (philosophy, Berkeley), and Paul Chihara (music, UCLA); hosted by Dr. Kevin Dougherty. April 26 - Joint Mathematics/Philosophy Lecture "In the Wake of the Frege-Hilbert Dispute", by Dr. Charles Chihara, University of Colorado, Berkeley.


Mathematics Awareness Month is sponsored each year by the Joint Policy Board for Mathematics to recognize the importance of mathematics through written materials and an accompanying poster that highlight mathematical developments and applications in a particular area.
