Department of Mathematics and Statistics is presenting a public lecture entitled "Adventures in Analytics: Encounters with Big Data" on April 19 at 7:00 p.m. on the East Tennessee State University campus.

Mathematics Awareness Month is sponsored each year by the Joint Policy Board for Mathematics to recognize the importance of mathematics through written materials and an accompanying poster that highlight mathematical developments and applications in a particular area.
